Let Us Make Your Class Better, Faster, Stronger!
We’d be surprised if there’s an educational institution that’s not thinking about how to make its EMT classes more dynamic and convenient. Whether you’re looking to attract more students to your college program or to provide a way to get volunteers trained as EMTs, you need to change. Now.
Limmer Creative can help.
In an initiative led by EMS author and educator Dan Limmer, Limmer Creative is offering the resources you need to make a traditional EMT course into a convenient and successful hybrid program. Sometimes called “flipped” classes, these hybrid offerings give students responsibility—and the resources—for learning outside of class. This allows you to use less of your in-class time for more dynamic, effective learning.
Consider the “average” 150-hour, semester-long EMT course. A 2-nights-per-week course of 15 weeks at 8 hours a week is only 120 hours. The additional 30 hours must be made up on additional days (often weekends). Using a hybrid approach, you can have a successful 15-week class, eliminate weekend sessions, and make your existing class times more relevant and engaging.
The following Limmer Creative resources are available to help you:
Dynamic Learning Exercises—We offer FREE dynamic learning exercises covering every module of the EMT course. Here’s how they work: Assign your students outside-of-class work to learn didactic material—reading the book, listening to audios, using the MyBradyLab available with Dan’s book. Next, instead of having an in-class lecture, review the material briefly and see if students have any questions. Then, spend the time you would have spent lecturing on active learning.
EMT Review Lecture Series: EMT Audio Lectures—Limmer Creative now offers 30 “lectures” covering important parts of the EMT material. We put the word lectures in quotes because, although your students will learn a lot from these audios, they’re actually dynamic and insightful conversations between two experienced EMT educators: Dan Limmer and Dan Batsie. Ranging from 18 to 35 minutes in length, our lectures provide relevant and concise information to maximize learning.
EMT Review Lecture Series: Pathophysiology for EMTs—If you’re looking to move a smaller, yet very important, part of your class to an audio format, our pathophysiology audio is for you. Integrating pathophysiology into an EMT course properly means the difference between your students truly understanding patient presentations and their memorizing bullet points of signs and symptoms. With 5 segments totaling more than 4.5 hours of audio, your students will have an outstanding resource to help them understand and apply pathophysiology practically.
EMT Apps—Once thought of as an aside or a simple review tool, apps are now a mainstream classroom product. Not only do Limmer Creative apps match your students’ busy, mobile-centered lifestyles (making it more likely your assignments will get done), they’re high quality and also implementable as classroom tools. EMT Review Plus study cards are great study tools—assign quizzes and exams for grades or extra credit. Our instructor dashboard lets you monitor student progress.
Curriculum Correlation Guide—[COMING SOON] Easily plug Limmer Creative’s resources into your traditional or hybrid EMT class using our correlation guide. We’ll show you where our products—from apps to audios to our free dynamic lectures—will fit for the maximum impact to make your class great.
The amount of learning a student achieves is no longer so tightly tied to the number of classroom hours offered in the course. Your class can become better, faster, stronger—and Limmer Creative can help.
